Are you in the market for a used MINI that’s no more than five years old? Even if you’ve never tried it before, a Certified Pre-Owned model may be the smartest choice. For typically only slightly higher prices, CPO MINI models are far closer to new condition and come with more security compared to buying any other pre-owned model. Here are four reasons you should consider a CPO MINI as your next vehicle. You’ll be surprised at just how strong MINI’s CPO program is compared to others.

Superior Condition

CPO MINI models are kept in such great shape that they’re equally appealing as an alternative to a new vehicle than to a used one. The certification process involves a relentlessly thorough inspection my trained MINI technicians and experts, and any repairs or replacements are done only with the best manufacturer-approved parts. There’s a lot more peace of mind when shopping for a pre-owned vehicle when you can trust it’s been looked at and protected. Unlike buying from a third-party driver, there’s no need to hunt for car history reports or read through the service logs.

Five Year Limit

All Certified Pre-Owned programs are a wise choice no matter the automaker, but one of the best things about using MINI’s CPO program is that it’s limited to only models as old as five years. At the moment, in 2017, that means 2013-year MINI models are the cutoff. This is fairly strict as far as CPO programs go, as most automakers are happy to pass certification on models that are six, seven, and even eight or more years old, to the point that the certification becomes less relevant. Stick to MINI and you’ll get only the most advanced and up-to-date model years, still in their prime.

Extended Warranty

MINI’s Certified Pre-Owned models are covered for either two years or 50,000 miles, but what you might not know is that this protection applies only after the expiration of the standard four-year or 50,000-mile New Passenger Car Limited Warranty. If you never have to get warranty service under those four years, that adds up to six total years or 100,000 miles of protection — an amazing deal normally reserved for buying new cars.

575 Certification

Unlike most automakers, who put all their certified models under a single umbrella, MINI actually offers an additional echelon of newness to certify their absolute best offers. Called the 575 Program, this certification includes only MINI models with anywhere between 300 and 36,000 miles, and of course no more than five years of age. Since these models are in the newest condition out of all those inspected, MINI offers excellent long-term protection like five-year or 75,000-mile warranty and optional five-year 24/7 Roadside Assistance.

Whether you’re looking for a great deal on a higher-quality used MINI or want an affordable alternative to a brand-new model, MINI’s Certified Pre-Owned programs are a great fit. They go above expectations compared to the CPO programs of similar high-end automakers, so take a look at our CPO inventory and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
